Switch to the “green beauty” is not only about skin care, you all know that, right? My mission on discovering, testing out and bringing the best examples of natural and organic makeup is in it’s full bloom and today I am so glad to introduce you to a real makeup gem coming all the way from Australia (with Mexican roots) – Ere Perez. Your heart (and skin) can’t stay indifferent to the wide range of makeup goods, clean minimalistic packaging and the same clean ingredients list offering your skin to be healthy, nourished and pretty without compromising the beauty with harsh chemicals. Besides high standards of ethics and natural philosophy, fact that I especially love about Ere Perez makeup is their up-to-date color palate and fashion-forwarded products. Take a look yourself.
From the wide range of makeup products for face, I’ve tested Correcting Calendula Powder Foundation in medium tone. Light texture that barely feels on the skin would be great for those like me who are seeking light or medium coverage. It’s mineral formula allows skin to actually breathe, and calendula extract provides a much needed antiseptic and anti-inflammatory protection. While my skin is actually extra pale during the winter, medium shade worked out pretty well for me, evening out my skin tone and embracing the healthy color. I believe Medium would be the universal choice for almost everyone.
To work your makeup properly, Ere Perez have a nice selection of makeup brushes and special beauty tools. Like this Kabuki Brush to apply the powder foundation I’ve just described above and it’s nothing less than a match made in beauty heaven. Super soft bristles and beautiful white handle make the application process fast and comfortable. I usually tend to keep my brushes clean and looking new, but it’s always good to have separate brushes for different foundations, don’t you agree? It somehow sounds more organized and yes, well, clean.
I am not going back to drugstore mascaras, it’s a big no-no for me from the moment I’ve discovered my first natural mascara from HoneyBee Gardens. Then I’ve tried Kjaer Weis mascara and wasn’t disappointed either. Now it’s time to push the boundaries, because Ere Perez got one more natural mascara that proudly holds it’s capacity for long, well-defined lashes and decent volume! Actually, more than just one mascara, Ere Perez have a selection of mascaras in their beauty arsenal based on different natural ingredients – Almond oil, Sunflower oil (brown shade mascara), Aloe Vera gel (transparent mascara) or Avocado + Mamey oils (waterproof). I’ve tried Natural Almond Oil Mascara that gave me glossy black lashes, relief from clumps and flakes and comfort for my sensitive eyes with contact lenses. It also stimulates the growth with it’s Vitamin E component. Simple brush for easy application is always a plus for me personally, as well as the fact that it leaves my lashes easily as well with a great oil-based makeup remover (I am recently loving Vapour makeup removing cleansing oil that I’ve reviewed before).
Official name of the product that you see above is Pure Rice Powder Blush and I’ve tried it in “rose tones”, but in real life it’s a skillful multi-tasker that can be used as a blusher, eye shadow or soft color touch for your lips on the top of your favorite lip balm base. However, I prefer to use it as a blush, and I love how smoothly these two pink-terracotta shades blend in together and create warm, elegant color on my cheeks. Left side of the blush is more matte and the right side reminds me of a beautiful faded rose color with a soft shimmer. Perfect companion for those days when your cheeks want to look extra feminine.
So talking about feminine beauty tricks, this little container is called “Clever Carrot” Cheek & Lip Balm, I have it in “Harmless” color. It is so small that will fit into any pocket, pouch or smallest of clutches and will serve you with gratitude, any moment you need it. It’s almost like a tinted lip balm of “frosted pink” color with a medium shimmer that looks very nice on the natural lip color. Plus, this balm can be also applied on the cheeks as a creme blush with some velvety finish. All you basically need is your fingertips. (the color on the website image of “harmless” looks way lighter, more of a pastel pink, but the one I can see is more like a “frosted baked pink”. I have no problem with darker tones, but I just thought you should know.)
I love good eyebrow pencils, those that are not too soft and not too scratchy, not too dark, easy-blending and those that stay just the way they were applied. I was happy to know that Ere Perez got one to match my requirements – Organic Almond Eyebrow pencil. Light brown-grey shade of it matched my eyebrows color quite right and I assume it will go nicely with almost every eyebrow tone! It comes with a a tiny brush for a quick combing and comfortable color filling. Some days, I may be not wearing mascara, but I will spend a minute to fix my eyebrows for sure. How about you?
