I don’t know how about you, but I am not a fan of Valentine’s Day massive fever and all those plastic pink balloons or red lace dresses. Since the chocolate hearts and stuffed teddy bears have already flooded most of the supermarkets and all of you, my dearest readers, are preparing to whatever scenario you prefer for your Valentine’s day, I thought it’s a great time to talk about organic beauty routine for our LIPS! Because we all want them to be kissable all year round, and especially on February 14th, aren’t we? In this post I am going to share my thoughts on how you can expend your green beauty routine, add some attention and a pop of color to your lips without quitting the organic beauty side. Vapour Organic Beauty is currently on my safe cosmetics radar for everything that concerns lip care,  which they take very seriously.

I use a lot of lip balms all the time, I simply can not stand a feeling of dry or imperfect lips. I’ve reviewed quite a few on the blog so far, and the Vapour Lux Organic Lip Conditioner adds a great value to my natural lip care collection. Totally dreamy texture and milky scent bring my lips lots of joy, while jojoba oil nourishes and restores them deeply. Just one look at ingredients list makes me feel secure that my lips are being treated the best and the safest way.

Among ingredients: Jojoba seed oil, Beeswax, Coconut oil, Castor seed oil, Helichrysum flower, Lemon balm leaf extract, Calendula flower – USDA Organic.

On the other hand, I don’t use many lipsticks as I always prefer to stay true to my natural color (or a few of those that I trust, but seriously, no wild experiments here). Neutral lip glosses though are sort of life savers for me when I am seeking to add some nice accent on my lips. Plus, volume! Elixir Plumping Lip Gloss is an amazing find that I’ve added to my “no makeup” makeup routine. First of all, it contains of 70% organic ingredients and 30% natural mineral pigments (already won my loyalty).  Chemicals-free formula that is actually good for your lips : Acai, Goji berries and Green Tea are rich on anti-oxidants, Lecithin and Jojoba Oil gives a nice boost of vitamins and hydrate the lips, Iceland Moss soothes, Myrrh nourishes and Lemon Balm’s restorative properties bring back the healthy glowing look of your lips. Second, about glow – I was quite impressed by the totally non-sticky formula, ultimate shine and great solid body that Elixir gave to my lips. Light hydrating texture with a nice delicate scent, plus a great color palette to choose from. I’ve tried Discreet 313, warm pinky brown nude shade which is neutral, yet gives that “polished” look to the lips with it’s soft shimmer.

Among Ingredients: Castor seed oil, Mica, Sunflower seed oil, Organic Lecithin, Acai fruit extract, Goji fruit extract, Jojoba seed oil, Beeswax, Stevia extract, Lemon Balm leaf extract, Wildcrafted Myrrh Gum, Iceland Moss extract, Green Tea leaf extract etc (see the full list here).

Another organic lip care product of Vapour Organic Beauty – Siren Lipstick – is also chemicals-free, also has a rich on natural elements formula plus also provides an amazing color choice, just as it’s lipgloss sister that I’ve wrote about before. Moisturizing all the way, Siren lipstick applies easily and it’s color lasts naturally long. I went for Torrid 413 – “black orchid”, it’s my ultimate choice when I want to add some dramatic touch to my look (my top favorites are dark berry colors). Chances are high that this would be my to go lip color for Valentine’s day, but you go ahead – take a look at all those tempting lip tones!

Among ingredients: Castor seed oil, Beeswax, Mica, Jojoba seed oil, Pomegranate seed oil, Rose buds, Lemon balm leaf extract, Myrrh, Stevia leaf extract etc (see the full list here).

Vapour Organic Beauty also got something rrreally good to “call it a day” – Clarity Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil, which I personally fell in love with. I just ran out of my eye makeup removing wipes when this hero came in the post to save me. It’s natural oils based texture gently removes makeup, soothes and cleanses without causing tight skin feeling or any irritation. Just to emphasize – this oil quickly removes makeup, but leaves all the lashes where their belong to (if you know what I mean). For those of you who wear hard layers of makeup on a daily basis, I would definitely recommend this product as it calms, balances and brights skin with the help of it’s botanical ingredients.

Among ingredients: Sunflower oil, Castor seed oil, Jojoba seed oil, Camellia seed oil, Evening Primrose oil, Organic Borago Officinalis Extract, Organic Helichrysum Arenarium Flowers, Horsetail leaf extract – all organic (USDA Organic).

  • tianna

gorgeous photos! Loving Vapour Beauty as well at the moment ♥

    • Thank you, Tianna! Aren’t they great?! Would you suggest something special to try besides lip care products?

      • tianna

They really are so lovely! I love the VB siren lipsticks as well – have you tried Purr? Such a gorgeous pink-mauve color. I love the color you’ve shown here – Torrid – gorgeous!

Something special you could try besides lip care products would be using a homemade lip scrub once a week like brown sugar + olive oil or baking soda + coconut oil – you can use them in equal parts and both work well to exfoliate dead skin, hydrate and soften lips. Another thing you can try is using a lip balm or straight coconut oil on your lips as a treatment – you put it on before bed and leave it on overnight. Hope this helps you out, Oly 🙂
