Briogeo natural hair care and my personal Curl Charisma confessions

To be completely honest, I am obsessed with healthy and safe hair care. It has started years ago, once that I’ve realized I actually do love my hair the way it is. That rich on volume and capricious jewish curls bush of hair has always been kind of my signature look. I haven’t experimented with hair color a lot though, only if you remember my wild turquoise ombre. Also, I’ve never been embarrassed of the fact that I comb my hair only on big holidays, and I love the “I woke up like this” big hair look on me. I don’t have diverse hair-do’s, but my all the time favorites are the most flattering ones – my regular “Mary Kate” hair, always appropriate and easy-going high bun, and current love – half top knot that you can see on me here, here and here. What’s with the “bad hair days”, you’d ask. Well, I don’t have any – I got hats! Proof here and here.

Today I feel over the moon for two reasons. First, I am going to introduce you to Briogeo, my new go-to natural hair care company that I can completely trust my locks to. Briogeo hair product formulas are free of parabens, silicones (I’ve said bye-bye to silicones in my shampoo a decade ago!) and other nasty chemicals you hair don’t need! This company won my loyalty already by the fact they create special series for curly hair and focus on exceptional hair performance, which is what we all are looking for, aren’t we?! Plus, lovely folks at Briogeo know a thing or two about REALLY good ingredients and eco-friendly packaging standards. Second, I am dying to show you some of my new hand embroidery illustrations I’ve created especially for this beauty editorial.

Briogeo “Be Gentle, Be Kind” is not your mama’s shampoo. It’s an ultra-hydrating creme cleanser with ultra-impressive ingredients list that include natural oils that aim to cleanse, condition, detangle and nourish the hair. Shea butter, Avocado oil, Quinoa exact and Aloe leaf juice just to mention a few. Gentle scent of this diligent hair worker stays with you after wash, as well as a feeling of totally clean, nourished hair. It’s cream-based formula is especially beneficial for those of you with dry, thick or colored hair – dirt and oil will be effectively removed, yet the hair will be left moisturized and color preserved for longer (again, no chemicals!).

So now especially for curly hair owners! These two Briogeo products will be your salvation – “Curl Charisma”  Curl Defining conditioner and Leave-in Defining creme. Both of these are formulated with the purest natural oils to define, de-frizz and enhance the curls power. Conditioner contains Rice amino acids to handle extra frizz, Rosehip and Sweet Almond oil to hydrate and add extra shine, organic Shea Butter to moisture. I am almost running out from this conditioner, so it will be my next purchase at Sephora for sure!

Leave in Defining creme is irreplaceable product to treat curly or wavy hair. If you prefer naturally looking air dry hair just like I do, this should remain between us – apply just a little amount of this creme to damp hair, let it dry naturally and don’t tell anyone you didn’t need to hustle around with a blow dryer and other styling tools. People don’t like it. Now, seriously, this creme is one of the lightest from many other moisturizing cremes I’ve tried! 10 points indeed.

Once in a while we all need a good mask treatment for your hair. Briogeo “Don’t Despair, Repair!” deep conditioning mask is created for dry, damaged or chemically-treated hair and speaks for it’s name. Formula of this mask is a special blend of vitamins, proteins, botanical extracts and the most beneficial of natural oils (Avocado, Sweet Almond, Argan, Rosehip, Patchouli, Cedarwood, Fir Needle etc), that effectively act together to increase elasticity, nourish, prevent breakage and promote health to the hair.

And the best news is, all of the Briogeo hair products are available at Sephora, for your extra convenience and for you hair’s extra happiness.
