More than discovering new natural beauty products, I love to discover the stories that brought passionate individuals to build their green beauty brands and put their soul into formulating, handcrafting and delivering the power of Mother Nature to your bathroom shelf. I was so glad to meet Trice Angie Christiansen the other day, the founder of RAAW in a jar – organic and non-toxic skincare line hand crafted in Williamsburg, New York from 100% organic and cold pressed natural oils, the purest herbs and healing plants. Raaw in a jar focuses on making your beauty routine free of harmful chemicals, toxins and preservatives by offering a clean line of products that is easy to interpret into a daily skincare regimen. And today I am going to introduce you to all the products from Raaw in a jar clean skincare line, get comfortable!:)

1. Raaw in a jar – Miracle face & body oil.

About : starting my introduction into Raaw in a jar beauty world with my favorite product from the line that I’ve been using nonstop. Do you remember that scene from the Snow White when birds and forest animals were taking care of sad Snow White? (here’s the sweet reminder) That’s exactly the way I feel when I apply this organic oil on my face, like I got little helpers who take the best care of my face! Miracle oil is packed with vitamins, anti-oxidants and natural ingredients that aim to sooth, firm, improve skin elasticity, regenerate skin cells and slow down premature aging process.

The Beauty Ritual : after cleansing and toning my face, I apply 5-6 drops of Miracle Oil with gentle warming massage twice a day. It can be easily worm under make up, and also applied on the body. But honestly, I want to keep it all for my face only! (update : too bad, because my husband just started using it as well!)

The Result : As I’ve already mentioned, my skin is very sensitive, with occasional acne concerns. As a result of this I often have to deal with redness and post acne spots that don’t leave my skin for a long time. In addition to that, I’ve always been told that oils are not good for my type of skin and I blindly followed that. Can you imagine how surprised I was to see the amazing change that Miracle Oil done to my face? After approximately two weeks of using this oil twice a day (that totally replaced my daily moisturizer cream at the moment), my skin got more even, brighter and looking healthier.

Ingredients: Kukui nut, Wheatgerm, Rosehip seed, Avocado, Apricot kernel, Geranium and Frankincense organic essential oils.

2. Raaw in a jar – Royal Jelly Face Scrub & Mask

raaw in a jar, organic face scrub and mask, natural organic skincare, tlv birdie blog, green beauty blog, organic skincare review blog, los angeles prop stylist and photographer, non toxic beauty products, organic beauty blog review, organic facial product

About : Royal Jelly face scrub and mask is 2 in 1 product, it’s goal is to increase blood circulation and to renew the epidermis by whisking away dead skin cells. Contains royal jelly (honey bee secretion) that is well know as an ancient Egyptian beauty secret for it’s anti-aging properties. Targeting the skin renewal, this mask acts really smooth and doesn’t leave any uncomfortable feeling nor during the process neither afterwards.

The Beauty Ritual : mix with a small amount of water on the palm of your hand into a paste, then apply with gentle massage over the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Rinse with warm water in 5-10 mins.

The Result : a really quick skin retreat when you’re in a hurry or don’t want to wait 40 mins till the masque treatment absorbs. Leaves a feeling of moisturized, refreshed skin but also an amazing honey smell which I am a total fan of!

Ingredients: Coconut oil, Raw wildflower honey, Royal Jelly, Propolis, Brown sugar, Kukui nut, Cinnamon and Geranium.

3. Raaw in a jar – Young lips lip balm

raaw in a jar, organic lip balm, natural organic skincare, tlv birdie blog, green beauty blog, organic skincare review blog, los angeles prop stylist and photographer, non toxic beauty products, organic beauty blog review, organic facial product

About : I am very picky when it comes to lip balms, it is one of my favorite products to try and to criticize sometimes, but the point is – I feel really good about myself when my lips are soft and smooth (and obviously, vice versa). Young lips is now my on the go lip balm for several reasons – it lasts long, the scent is very light if almost none, absolutely non-sticky texture and no heavy feeling on the lips. I love lip balms packaged in a tint, it is absolutely different aesthetic satisfaction rather than plastic containers. One more score towards Raaw in a jar – you’ll never meet their product packaged in plastic, clean attitude all the way!

The Beauty Ritual : just apply on your lips when it’s needed. Currently, I use it like zillion times a day!

The Result : soft, pampered lips. Can be applied under lip gloss / lipsticks.

Ingredients: Raw wildflower honey, Olive, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Peppermint Oil.

4. + 5.  Raaw in a jar – Detox Body Oil and Minted Rose Mist

raaw in a jar, detox body oil, natural organic skincare, tlv birdie blog, green beauty blog, organic skincare review blog, los angeles prop stylist and photographer, non toxic beauty products, organic beauty blog review, raaw in a jar minted rose mist

I put these two guys together just because that is the way I love to use them after shower – I tone my skin with the Minted Rose Mist first, and then apply a few drops of Detox Body Oil with a light massage.

About : Minted Rose Mist (on the right) is good both for face and body when your skin needs a proper refreshment. It tones, softens, revitalizes and adds beautiful glow to tired or dull skin. Again, with a proper portion of vitamins and antioxidants in it’s vibrant formula this mist aims to prevent early signs of aging and reawaken your skin. By reawaken I mean literally, it’s a wake up call of peppermint oil!

The Beauty Ritual : shake the bottle and spray all over your body and face (eyes closed!) to refresh and tone the skin when it’s needed.

The Result : I love to use this mist after shower on my body when I got a long procedure of oiling, pampering and buttering ahead, on my face when I need a little bit of fresh air while still sitting in front of my computer, but I also love to use this spray after my yoga class – that’s the real pleasure! Soft, fresh skin and clean mind (all these oils inside the organic beauty product have an additional effect – good ol’ aromatherapy!)

Ingredients: Rose hydrosol, Rose geranium hydrosol, Peppermint oil, Geranium.

raaw in a jar, detox body oil, natural organic skincare, tlv birdie blog, green beauty blog, organic skincare review blog, los angeles prop stylist and photographer, non toxic beauty products, organic beauty blog review

About : I could save The Detox Body Oil as my own little secret, but I am not good at it.. So, we’re all mature enough here to talk about cellulite, right? Besides drinking water and eating more fruits, our bodies are in need of some external help as well. It needs to get rid of naughty toxins and to improve the micro circulation. Targeting zone by zone, I’ve started to use Detox body oil to massage and provide deep vitamins treatment where it’s needed.

The Beauty Ritual : the best usage of this body oil would be right after the shower ( prior scrub or exfoliation would be even better!), when your body is warmed up, skin cells are open and ready to receive all the good stuff you’re going to treat them with. Apply a small amount of body oil (10-15 drops) on damp skin and massage it into the special attention zones.

The Result : I am not going to tell you an overnight success story (there’s no such thing, alright?!), you need to be consistent to see a result. I love the herbal smell of this oil and it’s not too heavy texture. Well nourished, detoxed and spoiled skin as a first result. Looking forward to continue using this product!

Ingredients: Kakui nut, Olive, Peppermint Oil, Eucalyptus, Fennel, Grapefruit, Black Pepper.

6. Raaw in a jar – Natural Hair Powder

raaw in a jar, natural hair powder, natural organic skincare, tlv birdie blog, green beauty blog, organic skincare review blog, los angeles prop stylist and photographer, non toxic beauty products, organic beauty blog review, organic haircare product

About : Frankly speaking, Natural hair powder is a product to save those “bad hair days” when you don’t have time for a proper wash. We all have them. Natural, talc-free formula of this hair powder is here to absorb extra oil, dirt and bacteria and leave the hair clean with some extra volume and silky texture.

The Beauty Ritual : pour a dime size amount of the powder into your hands and slightly rub it through the roots of your dry hair. Follow with a brush for a better result.

The Result : clay and the powder will absorb the oil, and essential oil of eucalyptus will provide a natural treatment to the scalp – you’re all set for the whole day ahead.

Ingredients: Kaolin clay, Horsetail powder, Rice powder, Eucalyptus essential oil.

7. Raaw in a jar – Detox Bath salt

raaw in a jar, detox bath salt, natural organic skincare, tlv birdie blog, green beauty blog, organic skincare review blog, los angeles prop stylist and photographer, non toxic beauty products, organic beauty blog review

About : more detoxifying benefits to your skin from Raaw in a jar – Detox Bath. You’ve probably heard about healing properties of Dead Sea and it’s salt, you’ve got it in this product combined together with epsom salt. Epsom salt is a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. Magnesium plays a number of roles in the body including regulating the activity of over 325 enzymes, reducing inflammation, helping muscle and nerve function and helping to prevent artery hardening. Sulfates help improve the absorption of nutrients, flush toxins and help ease migraine headaches.

The Beauty Ritual : use a half a cup of Detox bath for a warm bath relaxation, pour a third part of a cup into a detoxifying foot bath after a hard day, or create an excellent body scrub by mixing 2-3 tablespoons of Detox bath with half a cup of any organic oil you prefer. I’ve tried the last option with coconut oil, and I don’t feel any guilt about spending the longest shower time in my life! If you like to experiment with body scrubs, this might be a great product to add to your homemade body remedies like coffee scrub, oatmeal scrub etc (just saying).

The Result : relaxed and exfoliated skin, restored mind.

Ingredients: Dead Sea salt, Epsom salt, Peppermint oil, Eucalyptus and Grapefruit essential oils.
