When I wrote this post about inspiration for blogging and for daily life, I’ve illustrated it with my creative Instagram project that I started at that moment – #tlvbirdiefieldguide. With time, my passion has expanded and I’ve opened myself for more experiments, new textures and deeper color schemes. I had a very supportive reaction from my Instagram community (thank you so much, guys!), some sent me a really pretty hello’s via snail mail and some wanted to steal my field guide to birds books:). I’ve opened a contest for the first lucky bird lovers who’ll want to receive a nature-inspired handmade cards from me on Instagram, and they are almost on their way to their new homes. Every heart tapped on these pictures and every comment left means so much to me, much much more than on any other picture, honestly. You know why? Because that is my passion, my little baby that I’ve created and that I continue to cherish. Well yes, this project hasn’t brought me thousands of followers or haven’t been noticed by influential bloggers / Instagram community members (yet), but here’s a thing about passion. I don’t feel affected by numbers. I don’t feel like wrap it up just because it is not “successful” by generally accepted terms of numbers and exposure. It brings me satisfaction and joy, and sometimes visual euphoria. But if you really want to know – engagement, that is the social part of the project that I care about.
Thus, I’ve announced today on my Instagram, that this tag is now open for everyone. Whenever you want to share with the community your birdies dedicated pictures (art, snail mail, cute packaging or anything else), feel free to use the #tlvbirdiefieldguide tag and tag @tlvbirdie as well. I will be picking my favorites from time to time and will share them with my followers on Instagram (and maybe on the blog too). Because The Community First.
