One’s bohemian wardrobe is incomplete without a good fedora hat. An essential component for my 5 piece bohemian wardrobe. Don’t remember the rules? I will shortly remind you.

Basically, my 5 piece bohemian wardrobe theory is based on 5 piece french wardrobe method and inspired by simple living concept. I’ve learned the lesson that Less Is More once and for a life time, and now I build my capsule bohemian yet basic wardrobe from the scratch. I don’t want to have useless clutter in my closet, I don’t want these long morning dilemmas about what to wear and I don’t want my budget to suffer from seasonal trends and changes. I only want my wardrobe to speak for me and be my friend.

So, the colors: I keep only earthy tones of black, white, grey and neutrals of brown, olive, terra-cotta and blues.

The Basics : the non-seasonal tees and t-shirts, underwear, socks etc doesn’t count but have to be plain and mix-and-match-friendly with everything else on the clothes rail. Like an oversized gray t-shirt.

The Essentials : those pieces that define your style and compose the ultimate shapes that fit and flatter. Right prints and right details. Like an essential gray dress.

Accessories and shoes: hats, bags, jewelry pieces and other little stuff have to be count. Right pieces with the right statements only.

The Wishlist : 5 pieces for a season, those that you really crave and need to fresh up your wardrobe.

That’s pretty much it. Keep it simple.

Oh, and about hats. This is my one and only black fedora hat from straw (so, it’s obviously an essential one). It is absolutely friendly to my wardrobe, and the brown belt detail makes it possible to match with more items of neutral shades that live in my closet. I am planning to buy a few more of this style in grey and beige for the autumn season, preferably from wool.
