Welcome to One Slow Weekend of mine, birdies. The key word here is S-L-O-W.
Few things that made my weekend and can bring some ideas for you in order to unwind, slowly. Order is not important.
– Home Spa Moment –
Urban Outfitters came up with a new exclusive beauty collaboration with Loli (update : sold out), and I got lucky to dive into DIY skincare world with it during this weekend. So to mention – a very concentrated version of clean and green DIY world, in one very thoughtfully curated box. Sunday face masks have settled quite deeply into my green beauty routine, yet the pleasure of creating one “from scratch” has some very special emotions mixed together with the formula. Something about self-care, and the essence of Doing It Yourself.
So what’s in the box : ALL one can possibly need in order to blend an all-natural, nourishing and restoring skin treatment. 4 key products : Maple Honey Peel Off Base, Tamarind Face Paste, Pomegranate Yogurt Base Mask and Camellia, Apricot + Flax Seed Power Face Oil.
Plus recipes. Plus ALL the tools. Plus ALL the information on ingredients in an easy-to-read card. All you additionally need is water, and around 20 mins of time for just YO’self.
Basically, lots of ways to experiments with blends. One (Maple Honey Peel Off Base + Sheet Mask + Hot water) creates a great exfoliating treat for dull skin, Another ( Yogurt Mask Base + Warm Water + Tamarind Face Paste) calms inflammations, purifies and brightens the skin. I went with the last one today, and it’s seriously delightful! Skin feels so generously hydrated.
– Coffee moment –
Do I need to say more…
– Deep soak and mani moment –
I am just about to finish this Sunday and get ready for a brand new week (which is going to be so different). All I need is a warm bath with a bath bomb, good dry brushing moment and neck and soul soothing Lavender pillow. After that, I am going to fix my hands – with this gorgeous shade of Cedar from Sienna Byron Bay (previously Willow Byron Bay), soy nail polish remover and not to forget, thorough hands scrub*!
– Catching up moment –
Spending an hour with books I like to flip pages of (I am lately into vintage botanical field guides), with Bloglovin feed, with some magazines I’ve been waiting to read through the week. Basically, with the sources that help my eyes to catch some new inspiration, some forms and shapes that will most likely find place in my creative work during next week.
– One go-to outfit moment –
I always use some time to organize my closet on weekends. Just a tiny bit of folding, laundry and putting together a couple of outfits for the next week that will work for any occasion, for any type of short notice things. Next week I would most likely wear this Chanel-style jacket, white V T-shirt, mom jeans and shiny flats, basically anywhere. Comfortable and classy, just like this True&Co delightful piece* that I can barely feel on my skin.
