Hello darling birdies, hope you all had a smooth transition from the weekend into the new week! Here on TLV Birdie we’re going to have an exciting new week with new beauty stories, new giveaway (have you entered the Fig+Moss one yet?!) and new reasons to learn how to take it easy (both your life and your beauty shelf).
Some time has passed since my first introduction into Pixi Makeup, my affection has deepen and my Pixi collection has significantly expanded ever since. Hence this new post is dedicated to July Pixi makeup favorites. And as you would imagine, during this unbearably hot month of the year my favorites narrow down to the very essential ones. Or, the ones that I especially want to let you know about;)!
4 Pixi makeup products that deserve your closest attention right NOW:
- Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm* has totally won my heart for few very simple reasons : it is non-sticky, feels extra moisturizing on the lips and it leaves a very soft tinted and glossy shade on the lips even when it wears off. On the picture you can see the “Unique Pink” shade (closer image below), that I would probably better call “Bare Pink”, it is that baby pink soft tone and almost color-invisible on the lips (which is obviously my favorite part!). For that reason, “Nearly Naked” is on my wish list at the moment (along with “Magnifique Mauve”, it looks amazingly tempting too!).
- Pixi Quick Fix Powder*, oh where to start… I’ve first got introduced to the mineral setting powder of Kari Gran and have been using it for months! Now, it’s almost finished and it’s time to try new things! Especially those that I can also take everywhere with me – built-in buff, little mirror and super-compact everything (just like the Quick Fix Bronzer* from this post)! Why you need it? Well, you’d want that matte-looking finish on your makeup, wouldn’t you? You may also go no-makeup and still you’d want the no-shiny version of your skin, right? This powder can easily be your personal advocate for both. You would barely feel it, but you would see the difference throughout a hot and humid summer day (and night!).
- Pixi Eye Bright Liner*, nude color soft crayon liner. I repeat : NUDE color! Now, let’s focus together and come up with a reason WHY it’s not a massive eye makeup trend right now? So I’ve tried it, just a bare nude line on my eyelids. And in my personal opinion, it’s the best thing ever happened in terms of eye makeup to me. No, honestly, I am not a big fan of bold eyeliners. At least, not on a daily basis. Back to my younger years, I was wearing black eyeliner back and forth, but now it is totally out of my comfort zone. However, this nude liner is not, it’s right there, as my number one comfort makeup choice that makes my eyes to open up to see the world! Also, no need to sharpen this one, it’s a twist-up liner for the most comfort loving ones among us!
- Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen* in “BronzeBeam” is another great alternative when eyeliner is too dark, light liner is too light and some eye drama is required. I’ve already mentioned the “Black Noir” sibling of this eye pen and declared my love to it’s smoothly gliding texture, bright color and long-wear abilities. So this dark coffee shade with a pinch of bronzy glow, I believe, would look so darn perfect with bronzed cheeks and all that summer mood! (and then will gently transforms into an autumn favorite to enhance all the earthy colors and Pumpkin latte cups, remember my words!)
