Well yes, even skin tone, bright look and all-the-things-that-should-be-covered actually covered with a lightweight, good for the skin makeup have been on my to-do to-discover list for a while now. Here’re a few ultimate Jane Iredale makeup products that helped me to figure out the best coverage combination for a daily wear.

First things first – Jane Iredale Glow Time BB cream*. One word : perfection! This mineral BB cream feels extremely light, very naturally adjusts to the skin tone, leaves a silky finish, nicely covers imperfections and brings even, healthy glowing complexion without clogging the pores. It also offers SPF25 broad spectrum. I got hooked really fast, and my main problem was to figure out the right amount of cream to use. It took me a few tries to realize that a tiny drop works for the whole face as the formula is really creamy and spreads easily on the skin. Which leads us to follow conclusions : 1) you don’t need to use additional moisturizer prior to applying this BB cream (in case if you do your makeup not right away after you finish your morning beauty routine) and 2) a little goes a long way, which is quite a surprising thing based on my experience with other BB creams I got to try before! Among other advantages : 8(!) different shades to choose from.

Multi-tasking Jane Iredale PurePressed Base* is all one’s skin need in order to gain full coverage with silky, semi-matte finish. That means – foundation, pressed powder, correcting concealer and SPF20 sunscreen protection all in one. Super lightweight formula infused with natural skin perfecting elements – Pine Bark and Pomegranate extracts offer anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, Algae extract – soothing, nutritive benefits for especially sensitive or mature skin. Amazing color palette of 24 shades could make the first choice quite difficult (although all the tones have really thoughtful explanations), but once you’ve discovered your perfect match – refills* are available to order.

I personally prefer loose foundations, and I fell deeply in love with Jane Iredale Amazing Base*. It offers the same great coverage as the PurePressed Base and can be used on the top of the BB cream as a radiant finish, or as a stand alone product. Light, velvety formula allows comfortable application and long-lasting, water resistant wear. It makes a great foundation for sensitive or problematic skin thanks to a well-formulated formula free of oil, talc, dyes and parabens. 17 shades available, I’ve been testing out the “Natural” shade (pink undertones) and I believe it would be the most universal one for any skin tone.

Perfect coverage is not complete without an under-eye concealer, like Jane Iredale Active Light*, that also acts as a brilliant highlighter. Not only it offers a medium coverage for dark circles and under-eye shades, but the natural sources involved in the formula, like White Tea, Cucumber, Avocado, Sunflower Oil, Buckwheat seed and Vitamin C also help to reduce puffiness, appearance of dark circles and nourish the delicate skin. Application made easy with a small brush that fits into hard-to-reach angles. Available in 6 different shades, I’ve been wearing No.3  that is called “light peach” and neutralizes blue and grey imperfections (No.1 and No.2 would work better for red spots).

For some serious coverage – Jane Iredale Disappear*. Highly pigmented concealer that makes dark spots, blemishes and serious imperfections disappear in countless seconds. Besides that, it also promotes faster healing for breakouts (and their faster disappearing) with the Willow Bark, Green Tea, Radish root extracts and Vitamin C infused in the formula. 5 shades to choose from. Lasts long and gets invisible under the base/foundation.

  • Your picture never fail to amaze me! So so pretty! Loving the look of the bases and the rose hydration spray! Perfect Base sounds ideal for my oily t-zone but the pressed base would be great for travel as it sounds like it does so much in one compact!

  • True that!:) Together they are even better:) But seriously, makeup coverage-vise, I think I found my best formula with these Jane Iredale goodies! Have you tried anything from their line?

  • Thank you so much, Sarah!:) Two of these bases are seriously a blessing, and I agree, pressed base is an ideal solution to have in a travel / daily bag! I have oily t-zone myself, especially during the summer, I’ve been using Camp skincare YingYang balancing oil especially because of this, it’s working very nicely on my combination skin.

  • for me, natural base products are a must! I’ve been loving my KW foundation but I recently hit pan. I think I’ll have to give Jane Iredale a go now 😉
