Strange Invisible Perfumes : Love Story Written in the Stars

Some things are just meant to be, you know. Like sun and California. Like me and my Mister. Like those things that are written in the stars. This Valentine’s Day is the first one that we spend as a married couple, and at the same time the first one that we spend together and not oceans apart from each other. You can read the full story of ours in this post, and believe me, it’s really beautiful. Day’s like Valentine’s remind me about the thorny path to our stars. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings towards balloons, red roses and pink candy hearts, but it’s just not about us (and I am happy we both feel so complete about what IS about us). And today I want to talk about stars…

Stars that botanical perfumer Alexandra Balahoutis blends together for her Strange Invisible Perfumes series of Zodiac perfumes. Have you ever heard of Strange Invisible Perfumes, or maybe happen to take a look at their gorgeous boutique on Abbot Kinney, Venice? This is a home of completely botanical, unfiltered original fragrances that are produced in limited batches and formulated with certified organic, wildcrafted, biodynamic essences. If your heart asks for a truly authentic perfume that will embrace your inner spirit, this would be your way to go!

About US in stars :

Cancer. (me). The Levelheaded Bohemian Element : Water.

Cancer is the only sign of the zodiac ruled by the moon. While being adventurous and free spirited, those born under Cancer are known for their cleverness, generosity, and devotion to family. Mandarin, Patchouli and Lily of the valley encourage Cancer’s mischievous sense of humor, while sumptuous notes of Tahitian vanilla, Amber and Leather make the sign feel right at home.

Feeling of home is extremely important to me, and despite the fact I put myself on one adventurous way a few years ago and switched numerous homes on 3 continents in 4 years, now my soul is in peace, as I found home in my Man, who is..

Capricorn. (Yossi). The Force to Be Reckoned with Element : Earth.

Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn is famous for a nearly heroic sense of commitment, patience and drive. Iris, Frankincense and Tahitian vanilla speak to Capricorn’s earthy, sensual side and strong need for stability. Neroli, Jasmine and white Cognac invite Capricorn to let go of routine and enjoy the rewards of spontaneity.

I love the way we complete each other in every possible way. With an extraordinary sense of patience and inner calm, my Mr. would be the only person who can calm my occasionally flammable temper. But with my close to spiritual need of fresh air, water and nature, I am the only one who can convince him to step outside of his steady working routine and drive to the ocean.

    Bella Pummarola

    • Bella, I love the concept behind the whole brand and this Zodiac line especially! Hence these perfumes are organic botanical essences, they may smell too intense for the first time, but you will discover them completely differently on the skin!

  • Cielo

The pictures are so sweet and beautiful! I love your bird tattoo and how you included him in your post in a simple yet sophisticated way.
    Cielo| Building The Confidence

    Le Stylo Rouge

    • Personal is always better, isn’t it? And if your zodiac blend is not exactly speaking of you, there’re 11 more to try!:) Hope you’ll pay their boutique in Venice a visit once you’re in LA, Ashley! it’s gorgeous!

  • I’m always nervous about purchasing perfume from reading just reviews. Sometimes what’s on paper does not hit well with the nose. I wonder if they have a sample program like Commodity. The astrology sign is a cool idea. I am curious about Taurus.
    Texas Jak

    • I agree! I wish they had, but website doesn’t say smth like that.. which will make a stop by their perfume boutique in Venice,CA a must stop next time you’re there!:) All the artisan, authentic perfumes have nothing in common with those that we are used to see (and sniff) in Sephora, to be honest, so it’s better to give them a personal try!

  • This is so interesting! I’m off to see what Aquarius is like!

    • Oh my mom is Aquarius too 🙂 Let me know if you end up trying one!

  • I’d love to try this brand! I am on the cusp of Libra and Scorpio, so I wonder what zodiac perfume would suit me more.

    • I believe sometimes it’s more about the real character and personal preferences rather then what stars are telling about you, right?:))

  • I’m so interested in this perfume. I am a Cancer also, did you like the scent? I’m thinking of ordering the sample. There are so many notes in the fragrance, I’m having a hard time imagining what it would smell like. 🙂 XO -Alexandra

    Simply Alexandra: My Favorite Things

    • Hey Alexandra, thanks for stopping by!:) Well, I can definitely tell that Cancer is a bit too heavy for me.. It may work for a unique occasions and winter time, but in general I am much more of a green, almost cucumber type of fragrances or very breezy floral ones. SIP are more about leather, sandal and very dominate notes! Also, I think to wear these perfumes on a daily basis you need to make sort of a habit, these are really something different! Anyways, I would love to hear what you think when you try the sample, it’s hard to put this kind of complicated scent into the words:) At least I tried:)
